Nadia Ackerman is a singer/songwriter and an illustrator. She hails from the northern beaches of Sydney, Australia. Her parents of Afrikaans descent moved to Australia in the 1970’s.
17 years ago Nadia decided to pack her suitcase and move to NewYork City to pursue her dream of being a jazz singer in the big apple. Gracing the stage of Carnegie Hall to Sub Culture and Joes Pub Nadia has crammed a lot into her career as a singer. She was also the singing voice for the UPS International Campaign “That’s Logistics” That played for 3 years around the world on Television, Radio, and in Movie Theaters.
In 2012 Nadia started seeing her songs as images and felt an overwhelming desire to draw her music. Having not created anything visually artistic since high school she thought this was quite an ambitious endeavor to to take on. Being driven by her heart she created “Natchie” (the nickname her dad gave to her when she was 13)
Each piece of art comes with lyrics and a free download code to own the song. Today Nadia has her first retail store in Dumbo, Brooklyn, New York City and is currently working on her next album "Long Wave Radio" due for release Fall 2016.
